Even if the Lions aren't in the SuperBowl, it's still a great party day and chili is my favorite half-time treat. This is a spicy dish that has been modified to be low in fat and high in flavor! Cook in a crockpot the day before so that the flavors can age overnight. Go, team, go!
1 lb Ground Turkey Breast
1 lb Pinto Beans
7 Cups Boiling Water
1 Teaspoon Garlic Salt
1 Teaspoon Onion Salt
1/4 Teaspoon Thyme
1/4 Teaspoon Marjoram
8 oz Chicken Broth made from bouillion
2 oz Cans Tomato Paste
1 Tablespoon Chili Powder (more or less, to taste)
Thoroughly cook the ground turkey breast in a skillet, do not brown. Drain and put meat with all other ingredients into a crockpot, stir and cover. Put the crockpot on high and let it simmer for 6-8 hours, stirring occasionally. Serve with crunchy French Bread for dipping!
