Ready for more Christmas cookies? This eastern European recipe has various titles depending on what ethnic group is making it! My childhood name for the cookies comes from my Slovenian-born grandmother as HER children kept "sneaking" off with them! Whatever YOU call them, call them delicious! Recipe makes about 50 cookies. Merry Christmas!
4 EGGS
Beat eggs. Add sugar and vanilla. Add butter and mix well. Add flour a
little at a time.
Roll thin like a pie crust. Cut into 3x1" blocks. Make a small slit in
center.
Put in deep fryer till golden brown, 7 to 10 at a time.
Put one cup of powdered sugar in paper bag. Drop in cookies and shake to
cover cookies with sugar.
4 T SUGAR
5 c FLOUR
1 t VANILLA
8 oz BUTTER OR MARGARINE
1 c POWDERED SUGAR
