What is a LARGE PIPE?
"Large Pipes" are basically anything larger than a T1 1.54Mbps circuit. You can take several T1 circuits and bond them together to get higher bandwidth dedicated service (2 T1s for 3Mbps, etc.) which is often less costly than DS3/T3 circuits, or you can order circuits up into the Gigabit range.
How high can we go? Most carriers will sell ports that connect to their backbones and burst to full backbone speed. So if the carrier has an OC48 backbone, they will sell up to OC48, etc. Point-to-point Metro service (a different section on the left menu) can handle 254 Gigabit Ethernet.
Who needs high bandwidth? Companies that need to move a lot of data: graphics, huge files, hosting services, data storage, to name a few. We'll help you size the main ports and backbone ports and work with you all the way directly with each provider's tech support group.
Why work with RING!? We are impartial. Unlike working direct with a carrier sales person. We'll look at all of our partners and explain who can provide the best service at the right price for your location. Think of us an a "Buyer's Agent".
If you need LOCAL point-to-point, frame relay, metro broadband or wireless broadband, please select that service from the menu at left.
