What are the requirements for running RING!EasyCoupons ?

RING!EasyCoupons requires:
  • An Internet account with any ISP
  • A credit card merchant account if you will tender funds for gift certificates
  • A 3.0+ version browser (Netscape 3+, IE 3+, AOL 4)

    How fancy can my coupons be?
     
    • The system uses templates that you fill in from data entry screens
    • There is no html to write and no programming to do
    • Uniform templates make it faster and easier for shoppers read the coupons
    • Thetemplate designs are fixed, but can include your choice of color and the merchant's logo. If you are familiar with html, entries can use Header and font tags to change text styles.
    • In order to make the system as bullet-proof as possible, and because we are interfacing to multiple programs, we do not distribute source code for modification
    • Coupon and GC display pages include full site link navigation
    Who pays me for the Gift Certificates?
     
    • The shopper. You will be given the information you need to accept payment in the forms you set up.
    • You would then bill the merchant less your commission. Of course, this business model is entirely up to you.
    Do I need automatic credit card clearing?
     
    • Only if you intend to deliver product or services immediately from the web; ie software downloads, documents, GIFT CERTIFICATES, etc.
    • If you are shipping a physical product, you have time to clear the sale through your normal system process in plenty of time to ship. This will give you much more control.
    • We run a check-sum match on all submitted card numbers to make sure the numbers are in the credit card range.
    • To do real-time approvals, you will need to purchase our real-time optional upgrade
    What about fax and mail orders for GCs?
     
    • The check-out register will nicely format an Order Form for the shopper that selects to SEND ORDER BY FAX.
    • If you elect the immediate fax option, our web server will send a fax to you without any need for the shopper to print one out and manually send it.
    How do I print bar codes so the coupon can be wanded in the store?
     
    • You can elect to print a UPC bar code on any coupon
    • The system will prompt you for the text to encode and you decide where to place the bar code on the coupon
    How secure is my data?
     
    • No other vendors have access to your information
    Who comes up first on a item search?
     
    • All searches are returned in alpha order by zip code
    What if there are questions about the use of the coupon or GC?
     
    • Each item will contain contact information you provide for this purpose
    Can RING!EasyCoupons handle multiple stores?
     
    • In the first release, each store can be entered separately
    • We will have chain store accounts in future releases
    Can the system handle web based electronic coupons?
     
    • The system will support electronic web coupons that you can pass around on the web or advertise in print with a code to key in on the web.
    • These coupons are only redeemable with other RING!MerchantNetwork merchants at this time. There is no web based standard for coupon or gift certificate redemption at this time.
