Using RING!EasyMDS to distribute sales and marketing material, specification sheets, product bulletins.
Set your RING!EasyMDS preferences to match the procedures for distribution you desire: public or private, fee or free
Select the colors and format for your opening RING!EasyMDS screen to match your current web site, if you have one
Select the options for the opening screen: news, new releases, etc.
Create categories for filing your documents
Enter information about each item being placed in the library; Title, short description, publication date, category, keywords
You will need to have the document in digital format before you upload it to the server. In most cases, we recommend Adobe PDF format, although Word, Excel, Powerpoint, plain text, ps, Lotus Notes, or any other format is acceptable as long as you know your viewers can read it
If the file exists on another server, enter the URL and RING!EasyMDS will point the users there for downloads
All your material can remain on your existing web server(s) and you can use RING!EasyMDS as the cataloging and distribution management system
You can set up the system so that a user must fill out a request form before getting access to the library catalog pages
You can password protect any category (requires you to set up a password access file with accounts or you can provide one password for all)
Now users can tab through the categories you set up and browse the literature files there or use the keyword search to search title, description and keyword fields.
You can delete, add and edit records any time
