Detroit-Algonac-Lake Orion Tour - Features:
The Lake St. Clair shoreline, Belle Isle Park, farm markets, cider mills and wildlife areas.
Directions:
This tour loops 195 miles through metro Detroit.
The tour begins in Lake Orion. Take Orion Road south to Rochester. In Rochester, drive east on 26 Mile Road until reaching M-53. Head south on M-53 until Eight Mile Road. Turn west on Eight Mile and then south on I-75. Turn east on I-94 in Detroit and continue on I-94 until 23 Mile Road in New Baltimore.
Head east and the road winds around Anchor Bay and the St. Clair River until reaching Port Huron. In Port Huron, head east on I-69 until reaching M-19. Turn south until 32 Mile Road in Richmond. Head east through Romeo until reaching Rochester Road. Turn north until Lakeville Road. Head west to M-24 in Oxford. Lake Orion is located three miles south of Oxford.
