Hi!
I am a college student and am working on a project regarding humor in male/female relationships. Could you please tell me your opinion on the importance of humor in such relationships?
Thanks!
CM
Relationships are hard work, they take a lot of serious thought and action. Without humor, couples would totally stress out! People need to have a release, a chance to just act silly and to be comfortable enough with one another to do that.
Humor, not only in a couple, but in an individual is a key to personality. I can't imagine having to be around someone who can't laugh at themselves or "let their hair down" and relax so to speak - what a drag! Not someone I'd want to spend time with. Half the fun of a relationship is the fun, the laughs. It's the best feeling in the world to be having pure fun together and to make each other smile, laugh.

Humor in any relationship is crucial, especially in one between men and women. The ability to laugh at life and at oneself goes a long way in creating a harmonious day-to-day existance. Humor is the spice of life! It spices up and enhances the already good parts, yet covers up and makes it easier to swallow the less tasty stuff.
The only thing that I think is MORE important than humor in a relationship is respect.

I think humor is essential in any relationship. If there's no fun, no laughing, no ease in a relationship, I don't think there's a chance that two people could last together for any period of time.
