Okay, I have this friend, and he's really sweet, and he's really cute, and I love him, but in a friendly way...at least, that's what I thought. Lately, I imagine myself kissing him ever 5 minutes. We spend a *whole* lot of time together, and I want to be with him, but I don't want to ruin the friendship, because if he doesn't feel the same way, it will be hard to go through the year, cause we are always together. Another thing, he has a girlfriend, but she is in college, and I don't expect the relationship to last more than a month more. I think I've seen him looking at me in that way, and I can usually tell these things, but I could just be totally paranoid too. Help!!!!

From experience I'll say that guys can be the best friends you'll ever have, especially during the rough times. Guys are less judgemental than girls and they give straightforward, helpful advice rather than gossip and stab you in the back.
Of course it's natural to "fantasize" about any of your guy friends, but I'd be real careful about deciding to pursue your friend into a deeper relationship. I'd give it some more time, maybe you'll get some more solid feelings about whether or not you should try something more than friends. Then again, the whole episode may pass and you'll be glad you saved a great friendship.

I think that the best way to insure a long lasting loving relationship is by being friends first! Common interests and shared good times go a long way towards building future bonds between two people. Love that sneeks up on you is generally longer lasting and more satisfying than that which knocks you out on first sight!
However, since he still has a girlfriend, I suggest that you maintain the status quo, enjoy the relationship and keep your more amorous thoughts to yourself. If his present relationship does, in fact, break up, you can always be the sympathic friend and perhaps, then, more.

It sounds like this guy really means a lot to you and you both have become very good friends. I'm asuming you are either graduated or close to graduating high school and if I remember correctly it's a crazy time among friends and loves.
