Why is it women start after say about 18-20 yrs of marriage start complaining about how we look? Nothing has changed really since we said I do? We have successfully raised 4 children and are now "empty nesters" again! So what's the big deal?

I highly doubt that you haven't changed in 18-20 years. Please send before and after pictures! Seriously, no one sees themselves in the mirror the way that other people see them, especially as we get older and the eyesight starts to go! Are the requests that are being made so impossible? If not, try one or two. You might be surprised at the change (in you and in the complainant)!

ceramic statue? Of course you've changed!! You've changed physically,
emotionally, and mentally. I would imagine after twenty years, and four
kids, you and your wife have the opportunity to reconnect on levels that
have been overlooked, and one of those levels may include physical
appearance and/or contact. Perhaps your wife is simply sending you the
signal that some changes may be welcomed, or even may add some spice to
the relationship. Would it hurt you to listen to her? I'll tell you,
it'll hurt if you don't!
